As in several other towns of the region, the annual truffle exhibition in the form of a truffle market takes place in the small medieval village of Sant’Angelo in Vado near Rimini and San Marino on 4 consecutive weekends from October to November. The famous white truffle, known as the most expensive mushroom, takes centre stage, but various other regional products and arts and crafts items are offered as well at the market stalls. At the same time there are various festivals, performances and activities for the whole family, and the local restaurants offer truffle dishes. After visiting the truffle market it is always worthwhile to stroll through the historic centre of Sant’Angelo in Vado with its beautiful churches. The village is also famous for local wines or typical regional souvenirs.
